In Ust-Kamenogorsk, on February 24, a meeting took place between the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan Kudaibergen Bazarbaev and the Akim of East Kazakhstan Region Nurymbet Saktaganov, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, Bazarbaev presented information on investment and export opportunities from Kyrgyzstan and discussed options for supplying a number of agricultural products from his country.
The discussion also touched upon further prospects for developing cooperation between the regions.
The parties proposed to consider signing a Memorandum of Cooperation during the upcoming second interregional forum, which will be attended by the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan and the Akimat of East Kazakhstan Region.
In addition, the participants of the meeting exchanged views on issues of cultural, humanitarian, and trade-economic cooperation.
