Salymbekov demanded the customs service to fulfill the president's order

A lively discussion on the issues of light industry exports took place in parliament.

At a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on finance, budget, and entrepreneurship, Deputy Jumabek Salymbekov raised the topic of implementing the latest directive from the president regarding support for the light industry within the framework of the Customs Union.

Deputy Chairperson of the State Customs Service Elnura Mambetjunusheva reported that, by the president's order, a cooperation scheme with the Federal Customs Service of Russia had been developed. She noted that both sides had established contact with officers to exchange information about cargo at the border. Currently, the document is being prepared for signing.

Mambetjunusheva also added that the Russian side would provide complete information about the reasons for delays and possible violations.

Regarding the current situation at the border with Kazakhstan, Mambetjunusheva indicated that at the moment six vehicles are undergoing examination and are subject to prolonged checks. This is related to the verification of product labeling and possible doubts about their origin.

Salymbekov, for his part, expressed dissatisfaction with the response received. According to him, the problem with traffic jams persists, and no vehicle with Kyrgyz products can cross the border. The deputy urgently demanded that the customs service precisely and fully implement the presidential directive, emphasizing that prolonged checks lead to losses, bankruptcies, and the closure of light industry enterprises.
