The Cabinet clarified the situation regarding the information that appeared
On the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers, a clarification was published regarding the article in the Financial Times, which mentioned the possibility of a lawsuit from Bishkek against the European Union in the event of sanctions being imposed.
During an interview with Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet, only a hypothetical scenario was discussed. At the same time, the government of the Kyrgyz Republic confirmed that it does not intend to and does not plan to initiate legal proceedings against the EU.
The Cabinet also noted that the republic acts in accordance with the norms of international law, as well as national legislation and international obligations. Issues related to export control and compliance with sanctions regimes are resolved through dialogue and coordination with international partners.
Interaction with representatives of the EU is focused on ensuring transparency of procedures, information exchange, and strengthening regulatory mechanisms. Judicial and confrontational measures are not part of the options being considered, the government emphasized.
The Cabinet of Ministers confirmed its commitment to constructive partnership with the European Union and its intention to address emerging issues solely within legal and diplomatic frameworks.
