Filming of a feature documentary titled "Issyk-Kul — the fragile pearl of Kyrgyzstan" has begun in Kyrgyzstan. This information was provided by the press service of the Union of Cinematographers, according to 24.kg.

The film focuses on the ecological challenges and issues related to the protection of Lake Issyk-Kul. The direction is by the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Tynai Ibragimov, who is working with operators Ernes Mamytov and Nurdana Karybekov.


The film crew has already visited Balykchy, Cholpon-Ata, and Karakol, where significant infrastructure activities were recorded, including the construction of wastewater treatment facilities and the development of tourist sites.

The film will also showcase the work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the tourist-ecological police aimed at combating poaching.

The creation of the film is being carried out at the "Kyrgyztelefilm" studio in accordance with the presidential decree on the necessity of measures taken to protect the ecology of Issyk-Kul.
