At the Kyrgyz film production company "Kyrgyztelefilm" named after D. Sadyrbayev, the shooting of a feature-length documentary film titled "Issyk-Kul – the Fragile Pearl of Kyrgyzstan" has begun. This was reported by media expert Elena Bayalinova.

The film is being created under the decree of President Sadyr Japarov regarding urgent measures for the protection of the lake's ecosystem. Nurdzhan Tokombaev, the studio director, noted that the project will focus on the unique features of Issyk-Kul, ecological problems and the search for solutions, as well as changes in the region.

The film is directed by the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Tynay Ibragimov, who, along with operators Ernes Mamytov and Nurdana Karybekov, has already visited the lake's shore twice, including the cities of Balykchy, Cholpon-Ata, and Karakol. The documentary will emphasize the development of tourist infrastructure, including the construction of boarding houses and treatment facilities, as well as the creation of a new ring road route around the lake.

Tynay Ibragimov shared that the team held a meeting with scientists from the biological station, which is currently undergoing major reconstruction and will soon operate at its previous level.

The film will also showcase the work of government structures involved in the protection of the lake. In Cholpon-Ata, a unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been established, equipped with modern equipment, including an underwater drone capable of diving to a depth of 200 meters to search for poaching nets. Divers are engaged in retrieving old fishing gear from the bottom, which is then disposed of.

The tourist-ecological police also operates within the structure of the Interior Ministry of the Issyk-Kul region. This unit uses modern equipment such as speedboats, ATVs, snowmobiles, and drones, as well as night vision devices. A round-the-clock video surveillance system has been installed along the entire coast. The film crew participated in a raid to detect illegal fishing.

The director noted that thanks to systematic actions, the number of poachers has significantly decreased; however, it is important for every citizen to realize their responsibility for preserving the lake for future generations.
