This project represents the third stage of the program "Expansion of the sewage treatment plant in the city of Osh." As a result of the modernization of the first complex of wastewater treatment facilities, the capacity will be increased from 20 to 40 thousand cubic meters per day.
In the first phase of the project, the water supply system was reconstructed, resulting in new areas of the city gaining access to water supply. The second phase included the rehabilitation and complete restoration of the second complex of wastewater treatment facilities.
The total amount of financing is 8.3 million euros, of which:
- 4 million euros will be provided by the European Investment Bank in the form of a loan;
- 3 million euros - a grant from the European Union (EU);
- 1.3 million euros - a grant from the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
