At the solemn event held near the stele named "Manas," notable figures such as Tilek Tekebayev, the head of the region, the mayor of the city, as well as representatives of local institutions and enterprises were present.
In their congratulatory speeches, the leaders reminded the residents of the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the state flag and the Day of Ak Kalpak. They emphasized that the flag symbolizes the rich historical heritage of the people and the nomadic culture, as well as serving as the main symbol of statehood and representing the country on the international stage.
- The state flag of Kyrgyzstan was officially approved on March 3, 1992, following the acquisition of independence as a result of a parliamentary decision.
- The bill to amend the flag was signed by President Sadyr Japarov on December 22, 2023.
