Today, March 3, solemn events dedicated to the Day of the State Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic took place in the center of Osh.
According to information provided by the representative office, among the participants were the head of the Osh region Amanakan Kenjebayev, as well as the mayor of the city Janar Akayev and other officials.
In his speech, Kenjebayev noted: “On this day, I call on everyone to show patriotism and love for the homeland. May our flag fly high during national celebrations and festivities. I wish that the citizens of Kyrgyzstan hold their heads high and raise our banner in moments of great achievements. Let our flag become a symbol of unity for all Kyrgyzstanis!”
During the ceremony, servicemen raised the state flag in the central square of the city to the sounds of the anthem.

The state flag was approved on March 3, 1992, after two months of discussions by the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh. This year, the symbol of the Kyrgyz Republic turns 34 years old.
