An employee of the Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Osh was detained by the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic in conjunction with the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Security Service as part of an investigation into a fraud case. During the investigation, it was revealed that in August 2025, the man deceitfully obtained 50,000 soms each from two individuals known as "K.Y." and "T.D." In total, he acquired 100,000 soms, which he claimed were intended to assist in obtaining driver's licenses. The funds were transferred via the mobile application "Mbank" to the bank details he provided.
On March 4, 2026, the suspect was arrested and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security. Investigative actions are currently ongoing. The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasizes that obtaining driver's licenses is only possible on a legal basis and reminds of the position of President S.N. Japarov, who highlights the unacceptability of corruption in this area.
