In 2025, Kyrgyzstan ranked 95th in the Global Gender Gap Index, which assesses the gender gap in different countries.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, experts conducted an analysis of women's rights around the world. Research shows that humanity will need approximately 123 more years to achieve gender equality.

The neighboring Kazakhstan is in 92nd place, while Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are in 110th and 129th positions, respectively.

The leaders in gender equality are Australia, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada. The lowest indicators are observed in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa.

Only 14 countries in the world, including Iceland, France, Germany, Spain, Canada, and Sweden, have achieved full legal equality between men and women.
