A criminal case against Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, who previously held the position of Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, has been initiated by the Military Prosecutor's Office. This was reported to the Kabar agency.
As part of the investigation, all facts mentioned in the submitted statement will be thoroughly checked, after which a legal assessment of the actions of the former official will be provided.
It is worth noting that today President Sadyr Japarov issued a decree relieving Shamyrkanov of his position. He had held this post since February 19, 2023.
Presidential press secretary Askhat Alagozov reported that the former minister is suspected of corrupt activities, including receiving a bribe.
