On March 9, during the monitoring of social networks, law enforcement agencies discovered that materials aimed at criticizing the work of government agencies and discrediting the authorities were posted on the account named "Daniil Zhooshbaev" on Facebook, which could exacerbate the socio-political situation. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The investigation established that the comments on several publications from this account contained messages capable of destabilizing public order and leading to mass riots.
In connection with the above, a criminal case was initiated under Article 278 "Incitement to Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational-search activities, the identity of the owner of the fake account "Daniil Zhooshbaev" was established, and the journalist A.A., born in 1976, was detained.
Expert examinations have been appointed for the publications made by the suspect through the fake account.
On March 10, during a search at A.A.'s place of residence, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, a video camera, documents, and other items were seized.
On March 11, A.A. was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
