According to data from Kyrgyzhydromet, from March 18 to 23, avalanches and snow drifts are predicted in the high-altitude areas of the republic due to unstable weather conditions.
The most hazardous sections have been identified on the following routes:
- Bishkek - Osh, kilometers 198-255 (Chychkan Gorge, Ala-Bel Pass);
- Myrzake - Kara-Kuldja - Alayku, kilometers 55-115;
- Bishkek - Naryn - Torugart, kilometers 292-305 (Dolon Pass);
- Balakchy - Kazarman - Manas, kilometers 201-205, 260-290, and 326-349 (Kok-Art Pass);
- Karakol - Enilchek, kilometers 45-90 (Chon-Ashuu Pass).
In light of these conditions, the Ministry of Emergency Situations strongly recommends that drivers exercise increased caution and maintain a safe distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.
