The Bishkek City Hall will strengthen personal responsibility for anti-corruption work

Significant measures are being taken in Bishkek to combat corruption. The city hall emphasizes the importance of strict adherence to anti-corruption norms by all heads of structural and related departments.

These measures are being implemented in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers adopted on January 27, 2026, as well as within the framework of the state program for anti-corruption information policy for 2026–2027.

The department stressed that it is unacceptable to use official position for personal gain, to lobby for the interests of individuals, to allow violations during state procurement, to illegally distribute resources, and to interfere in business activities outside the legal framework.

Particular attention will be paid to areas such as urban planning, land relations, housing and communal services, transport, trade, and municipal services.

Heads of departments will bear personal responsibility for organizing anti-corruption work and controlling subordinates, as well as for the timely identification and elimination of corruption threats.

The city hall warned that in the event of violations being detected, the relevant materials will be sent to law enforcement agencies for further consideration.
