
In 2026, significant work on the repair and construction of roads is planned in Kyrgyzstan, according to information released by the press service of the Ministry of Transport. As part of the state capital investment program, it is planned to update and construct 700 kilometers of roads, as well as an additional 457 kilometers according to the Title List.
Currently, the construction of important highways funded by the state budget is ongoing, including Balykchy–Bokonbaev–Karakol, Naryn–Bayetov, Ala-Buka–Jany-Bazar–Kirovka, and Safarovka–Barpy.
Work will also continue on several strategically important projects, including additional constructions on the alternative North–South route, the Barskoon–Bedel road, the bypass road around Bishkek to the north, as well as sections of Lebedinovka–GES-5, Bishkek–Kant, Arashan–Chunkurchak, and Bishkek–Kuntuu–Shopokov.
Additionally, as part of investment projects, it is planned to complete the reconstruction of the Suusamyr–Talas–Taraz road (Phase IV, 93 km) and the section from Korumdu to Balbay Batyr (79.3 km), as well as the road from Barskoon to Karakol (75 km).
Among the new initiatives, it is worth highlighting the construction of Profsoyuznaya Street, the road to the new market in Osh, the bypass road in Cholpon-Ata, as well as the reconstruction and construction of roads in the Issyk-Kul region, including routes to the ski base "Jyrgalan" and the resort of Jeti-Oguz.
Representatives of the Ministry of Transport emphasized that changes and additions may occur during the implementation of these projects.
