During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Aida Saliamova voiced alarming data regarding the safety of children and the protection of their rights. According to her information, in 2025, 18 cases of suicide among minors were registered in the Jalal-Abad region, which is two cases more than the previous year.
She also noted a tragic incident that occurred on January 10, 2026, when an eighth-grade student from the Bazar-Korgon district took his own life. It was established that this boy was a child of migrants whose parents are outside the country.
Saliamova urgently called for increased oversight from state structures working with youth, as well as the need to analyze the situation of migrant children to identify potential psychological and social issues that require timely assistance.
