In the "Zhubaylar" section, we tell the story of Kazakh woman Dzhuparkul Barkhitova and her husband, Kyrgyz Salmoorbeke Shadieva.

Dzhuparkul was born on August 2, 1962, in the village of Ozyornoye, located in the Alamedin district. She has five siblings.

"My oldest child is 43 years old, and my youngest daughter will soon turn 14. I graduated from a technical school in the construction field, but I have dedicated most of my life to managing the household. Since 1996, I have been working in the local election commission, where my career began as a regular committee member. Every election is a unique experience, and I have always found common ground with elderly people. The preparation for the last elections was particularly challenging, as there was an opportunity to vote from anywhere in the district, which attracted more voters than expected. I am proud of my team in the Alamedin district, and there were also observers from the OSCE present at the elections," she shared.

Dzhuparkul also talked about how she met her future husband S. Shadieva.

"I am Kazakh, and my husband is Kyrgyz. We have raised polite, educated, and friendly children. My husband was born in 1953. We met in 1980 when I was rushing to an exam at the technical school. He stopped on the road and offered to give me a ride. From the first moment of our conversation, he made an impression on me as a polite and well-mannered person, which I really liked," she noted.

After they met, they exchanged addresses. She told him where she was from, and he turned out to be from Nurmanbet in the Issyk-Ata district. Soon, they got married. At that time, such weddings were not as grand as they are now. Usually, it was a simple gathering with close family, a blessing from the elders, and a modest feast.

"We have overcome many difficulties together, especially in the 90s when there were times when food was scarce. We learned to cope with problems and support each other. Those years certainly brought us closer together. Our parents also provided us with significant help, supplying flour, meat, and dairy products," she added.

Dzhuparkul believes that mutual understanding and support for each other are essential for a strong and happy family. "I was a calm leader in our family. That's my secret. I would first agree, analyze the situation, and then gently guide the decision in the right direction. This way, we avoided conflicts," she shared.

"I love to cook and experiment with new dishes. My dream is to visit Vietnam and its wild, unexplored corners," Dzhuparkul concluded.
