He noted that on some days, the capital even managed to enter the green zone in terms of air quality indicators.
“The work of the city authorities to reduce smog levels has been very effective. We are observing a decrease in pollution, which has become noticeable compared to previous years. The authorities are using various methods to clean the air in Bishkek, and for this, we should express our gratitude. Smog has not disappeared, of course, but it has become less,” the speaker added.
It is worth reminding that on January 21, Bishkek ranked first in the world air quality rating according to World Air Quality at 21:00, receiving a "hazardous" status. Throughout January, the capital was recognized twice as one of the most polluted cities, and on some days it ranked third in pollution levels.
