Deputy Burun Amanova expressed concern about the gasification of new residential complexes in Bishkek that use coal heating.

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, she emphasized that the company "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan" had previously committed to supplying gas to these areas, but the work was not completed.

"In the capital, there are over a hundred new buildings, most of which use coal. Only 54 residential areas have received gas. I asked the representative of the Ministry of Energy questions, but he could not provide a clear answer. Why has 'Gazprom Kyrgyzstan' not fulfilled its obligations? Why do residents continue to breathe smog? This issue has been raised by my colleagues more than once. In Bishkek, Osh, and other cities, this problem is extremely relevant," the deputy noted.

Chairman Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, for his part, emphasized that the smog situation is gradually improving. According to him, Bishkek has been classified as one of the "green cities" several times based on daily indicators.

"This winter, the city has been classified as a 'green city' several times based on daily indicators, which indicates that the level of smog has decreased compared to previous years. The city administration has done significant work to identify the causes and mitigate the effects of smog. They are using various methods to improve air quality, and we should express gratitude to the city authorities for this, as it is important to acknowledge achievements. Although the problem is not yet completely resolved, the level of smog has decreased now," added the chairman.
