She posed this question during the discussion of the Ministry of Culture's report on the state of national cinematography, which took place within the committee on science, education, innovations, information technology, culture, sports, and youth affairs.
“Who will be responsible: the Ministry of Culture or the Department of Cinematography? If there are mistakes in road construction, the Ministry of Transport is held accountable. But in the film industry — who is responsible for the project's failure? Will you just remain silent if they say the film did not turn out well?” — she expressed her concerns.
The director of the Kyrgyzfilm studio, Maksat Jumayev, reported that the film project "Ayan" was accepted into the archive as completed by the former director of the studio. “I asked the director what would happen if they were asked to show the film on television, since the project is already considered completed. He said that this would not happen,” — he explained.
Amanova also noted that one of the main problems in this area is the lack of qualified screenwriters, directors, and producers.
Jumayev added that the level of many participants in competitions leaves much to be desired. “We ask if they are willing to shoot at their own expense if the artistic council rejects their project. But no one wants to take the risk,” — he noted.
The deputy emphasized that the new team of the Ministry of Culture intends to carry out reforms in this area, and it is important that the process is completed without appointing acquaintances and outsiders.
Deputy Minister of Culture Marat Tagaev supported this position, adding that previous connections in the industry will no longer be relevant, and all processes will be under strict control.
