The Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Marat Tagaev, announced plans to create a feature film titled "Syngan Kylch" ("Broken Sword") at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee. He responded to questions from deputies about the need to increase the number of national films that reflect the country's ideology.

According to Tagaev, this is indeed an important topic, and work is currently underway to create major films. He reminded that the last large-scale work, "Kurmandzhan Datka," was released more than ten years ago. The new film will be based on a work by Tologon Kasymbekov, and the script will be written by playwright Sultan Raev. "We are currently at the stage of approving the budget, and filming is planned to begin at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027," he added.

In addition, Tagaev noted that this year there are also plans to work on a documentary film dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence. At the same time, he stated that the production of documentary films dedicated to individual personalities will be significantly reduced. Previously, "Kyrgyzfilm" received orders from government agencies to create films about jubilarians reaching 70-80 years old, but now such practices will be minimized, he emphasized.
