At the committee meeting, the work of the Department of Cinematography was discussed, presented by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev.
During the discussion, Deputy Eru lan Kokulov expressed concerns about the regulation of film distribution and screenings, noting that advertising for alcoholic and tobacco products is unacceptable in cinema. He reminded that this issue was raised four years ago, but advertising is still found in some Kyrgyz films. Deputy Gulai Mashrapova touched on the topic of budget funds allocated for the creation of feature films over the past three years, as well as the return of these funds after the end of screenings and the need for the adaptation of historical works. Bolot Saginayev also raised questions regarding state support and funding for domestic cinema, as well as the control of film content in accordance with legislation and cultural norms. Santalat Amanova emphasized the need for reforms in the cinematographic sphere.
Deputy Minister Marat Tagaev noted that previously films were created under state orders for non-commercial purposes, but in the future, attention will also be paid to commercial projects. He reported plans to shoot the film "Syngan Kylch" and other historical projects, emphasizing that appropriate film studios are required for their implementation.
