At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Science, Education, and Culture today, it was announced that 35 million soms were spent on the production of the national series "Kara Kyrgyz."

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture refuted information previously circulated in the media that the expenses amounted to 40 million soms.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev reported that the first episode of the series has already been aired on UTRK.

“However, subsequently, the Department of Cinematography imposed a temporary ban on the airing of the following episodes. This decision was made due to identified technical errors. A special commission has been created to address the shortcomings, after which the series will return to the air,” he added.

Deputy Bolot Saginayev emphasized that "Kyrgyzfilm" produces many films that receive significant funding.

“Some of these projects did not meet expectations. It is necessary to develop public-private partnerships with private production studios that are currently achieving success in the field of cinematography. Private studios can create films on order much cheaper than 'Kyrgyzfilm' does,” he noted.
