According to Tagaev, between 80 to 100 films are produced in the country each year, created by both state and private studios. "This confirms the active development of our cinematography," he noted.
Moreover, he added that among the Central Asian countries, Kyrgyzstan leads in the viewership of domestic cinema, while in neighboring states, over 50% of viewers prefer foreign films.
As for further steps, the official announced plans to build a film studio in 2026 in collaboration with the Ministry of Construction. Currently, a project is being developed that also includes the creation of a Dolby Atmos recording studio, which will allow local producers to avoid traveling abroad for sound recording and reduce costs.
