- In an interview provided by the Deputy Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the EEC, Maxim Kim, the technical regulation system within the EAEU was discussed in detail.
Currently, 52 technical regulations have been developed and approved within the union, and about 9,000 modern interstate and national standards have been included in the EAEU database.
According to information from the Commission, thanks to the unified technical regulation system, more than 85% of goods entering the countries of the union meet the established requirements and procedures.
The EEC is tasked with completing work on nine technical regulations in the near future.
“These regulations concern products that are critically important for each of the countries, including chemicals, building materials, paints, and transportation,” clarified Maxim Kim.
