On January 19, the Speaker of Parliament, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, convened a meeting of the Coordinating Council of representatives of deputy speakers, leaders of deputy groups, committee chairs, and staff members.

He emphasized that the Jogorku Kenesh is a key branch of government in the country, noting: "The implementation of necessary reforms and legislative initiatives is impossible if they are not first reviewed by Parliament. Candidates for positions from other branches of government also require approval from the Jogorku Kenesh. It is important for each government body to be aware of its duties and responsibilities."

Additionally, the Speaker drew attention to the need for detailed discussions of draft laws by relevant committees before presenting them for general consideration by Parliament.

Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu also stated that the Jogorku Kenesh will strictly adhere to the principles of transparency and freedom of speech. He added that deputies will be able to freely express their opinions on any issues, and meetings will be broadcast live to a wide audience.
