During the meeting, important issues concerning the work of the parliament and the legislative process were discussed. Participants expressed various opinions and suggestions, as reported by the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Turgunbek uulu noted that the Jogorku Kenesh plays a key role in the country's power system. He emphasized: “The implementation of necessary reforms and projects for the state is impossible without the approval of the parliament. Nominations for other branches of power also require coordination in the Jogorku Kenesh. All bodies must clearly understand their duties and responsibilities in this process.”
The Speaker also pointed out the importance of thorough discussion of bills by the relevant committees before they are presented for general consideration by the parliament.
In addition, Turgunbek uulu stressed that the principles of openness and freedom of speech will be strictly adhered to in the Jogorku Kenesh. He added that deputies have the right to freely express their opinions on any issues, and parliament sessions will be broadcast live to a wide audience.
