
The event was attended by the mayor of Bishkek, Aybek Junushaliev, and representatives of city services.
The deputies got acquainted with the operation of the plant, its technical equipment and production capacities, and also observed the processes of waste collection and incineration, as well as electricity generation. The plant specialists spoke about their automated control systems, technical processes, and compliance with environmental safety standards.
As noted by Aybek Junushaliev, the plant currently processes about 1,000 tons of waste daily, producing up to 30 kilowatts of electricity per hour. In the future, there are plans to expand the production capacities of the enterprise.
During the meeting, important issues regarding the operation of the plant were discussed. In particular, the discussion focused on the construction of similar facilities in the south of the country, the conditions of investment agreements, the training of young specialists in cooperation with universities, the reclamation of the old landfill, and the greening of the surrounding area. Additionally, the deputies discussed the employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan, wage levels and working conditions, as well as the organization of waste disposal from suburban areas.
The participants of the off-site meeting also addressed the issues of smog and air pollution in Bishkek, measures to improve air quality, reduce traffic congestion, and the implementation of relevant urban programs.
