The main reason for the working visit of the plenipotentiary was numerous complaints from local residents about the possible negative impact of the enterprise on the environment and public health. According to the townspeople, the issue of smoke pollution and the deterioration of the ecological situation has been raised for a long time.
During the inspection, it was established that the plant is engaged in metal processing and the production of rebar. The plenipotentiary familiarized himself with the technological processes, energy sources, raw materials used, and the state of production facilities. Special attention was paid to compliance with environmental, sanitary, and technical requirements, including the organization of harmful emissions, the presence of cleaning and filtering equipment, as well as the compliance of the plant's activities with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The plenipotentiary stated that issues of ecology and public health are a priority and instructed the relevant state bodies, including environmental and sanitary services, to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the plant, provide a legal and ecological assessment, and take appropriate measures within the framework of the law based on the results.
"Based on the results of the inspection, an assessment will be made of the actions or inactions of the responsible authorities, and decisions will be made depending on the facts identified. The execution of these instructions and the results of the inspection activities are under the control of the president's representative office in the Chui region," the statement said.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the head of LLC "LAHORE STEEL MILLS" is Nazir Asim Ahmad Nazir, and the founders are citizens of Pakistan: Iqbal Javed, Hussain Sarfraz, and Majid Amir.
The main direction of the plant's activity is metal processing and coating application. It was registered on May 27, 2011, and underwent re-registration on October 24 of the same year.
The investors of the enterprise are citizens of Pakistan who established the plant on a territory of 4.2 hectares, previously owned by a sugar factory.
