In 2026, as part of the second phase of the "Safe Country" program, more than 20,000 video cameras will be installed in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ulan Niyazbekov, during a collegial meeting dedicated to the results of the internal affairs agencies' work for 2025.

He emphasized that modern digital technologies are actively being implemented in the country, which will significantly improve the security system in public places, on the streets, and in areas where large crowds gather, including tourist destinations.

“Our work is aimed not only at maintaining public order and combating crime. We also strive to improve the quality of service for citizens and provide quick and effective assistance to both Kyrgyz citizens and foreign guests. As a result of our activities, we have managed to prevent almost 10,000 crimes,” the minister added.
