The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic is holding a collegial meeting aimed at analyzing the work of law enforcement agencies for the year 2025, reports the press service of the ministry.

The event is attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev, Minister of Internal Affairs Ulan Niyazbekov, as well as the leadership and representatives of the structural divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The agenda includes a discussion of the results of the work of internal affairs agencies for 2025, the implementation of the "Safe Country" project, issues of improving the quality of service to citizens, and determining the priority areas of the ministry's activities.

In his address to the participants of the meeting, Ulan Niyazbekov highlighted significant achievements made in 2025 and noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is actively implementing modern methods and digital solutions to enhance the safety of citizens.

In 2025, there was a significant decrease in the crime rate in the republic, as well as an improvement in detection rates. The Ministry of Internal Affairs ensured a high level of public order during more than 120 mass events of various scales, preventing serious violations of the law.

Additionally, over a hundred new modern service buildings have been put into operation in the republic, significantly improving working conditions for employees of the internal affairs agencies.

Also, by the president's directive, a transition is being made from the "Safe City" project to "Safe Country," which started in June 2025. As part of the first phase, a tourist-ecological battalion was created in the Issyk-Kul region to ensure the safety of citizens and order. The unit is equipped with modern technologies, which has contributed to a decrease in the crime rate during the tourist season.

"Our task is not only to maintain public order and combat crime but also to improve the quality of service to citizens by providing prompt and quality assistance to everyone who turns to the authorities," the minister noted, adding that nearly 10,000 crimes were prevented over the year.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs added that the second phase of the "Safe Country" project is scheduled for 2026. This phase plans to install more than 20,000 video cameras across the country, implement new digital programs, and elevate the security system to a new level in public places, on streets, and in areas of mass gatherings.

"The internal affairs agencies continue to fulfill the tasks set before them and are taking effective measures to ensure the safety of the population," Ulan Niyazbekov summarized.

Adylbek Kasymaliev drew the participants' attention to the key areas of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' work in the future, highlighting tasks related to strengthening the rule of law and public safety.

During the collegial meeting, he also awarded state honors to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who distinguished themselves in the performance of their official duties.
