The national forum titled "Data and Security in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" has kicked off in Bishkek, timed to coincide with the International Day for the Protection of Personal Data. This event has become an important platform for discussing issues related to the protection of personal data, as well as digital and information security in the context of the rapid development of AI technologies and digital services.
The forum was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Edil Baisalov, who noted that the state must ensure reliable protection of citizens' personal data. He expressed concerns about the security of personal information in government databases.
"Despite active digitalization, data must be under enhanced protection. In the age of digital technologies, ensuring information security is not as simple as locking a door. For example, medical records that we are transferring to digital format require a high level of protection," Baisalov added.
The forum includes representatives from government institutions, the business sector, the IT industry, international experts, and civil society activists. Participants are sharing their reports on how to ensure the confidentiality of personal information in the context of the dynamic development of AI technologies.
