He served in the GKNB for many years
On January 27, 2026, at the age of 54, Colonel of the reserve Serik Kekенович Abiev passed away.
He was born in 1972 and graduated in 1995 from the Kyrgyz State National University named after J. Balasagyn with a degree in "Law".
He began his career in the national security agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic in November 1995. During his service, he held numerous responsible positions, including:
- from 1995 to 2001 — work in the Investigative Department of the GKNB KR;
- from 2001 to 2003 — position in the GKNB KR Department for the Naryn Region;
- from 2003 to 2006 — again in the Investigative Department of the GKNB KR;
- from 2012 to 2014 — assistant to the Chairman of the GKNB KR;
- from 2014 to 2017 — work in the Anti-Terrorism Center of the GKNB KR;
- from 2017 to 2022 — in the Main Investigative Department of the GKNB KR;
- from 2022 to 2024 — in the Academy of the GKNB KR;
- from 2024 to 2025 — Deputy Head of the SPO of the GKNB KR.
For his achievements and high results in service, Serik Kekенович was awarded departmental awards and received a Certificate of Honor from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. He raised many generations of national security personnel, inspiring them with honesty and fairness, respect for traditions, and pride in the title of officer, urging them to serve their homeland with dignity.
The leadership, veterans, and employees of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic express their deep condolences to all relatives and friends of the deceased.
