On February 5, 2026, during a working visit to Bahrain, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Saudi Arabia, Ulukbek Maripov, met with Abdallah bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain. This information was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
During the conversation, the diplomats discussed issues related to deepening economic and investment cooperation, as well as the possibilities for increasing trade volumes between the countries. In particular, the topic of organizing a business delegation visit from Bahrain to Kyrgyzstan was raised, which is planned as part of the Second Investment Forum of Central Asian countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council, scheduled for April 24-25, 2026, in Bishkek.
Maripov expressed a desire for Fakhro to participate in the forum as the head of the Bahraini delegation, with the aim of further developing and strengthening economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Bahrain.
In response, Abdallah Fakhro thanked for the invitation and emphasized the importance of the upcoming forum, noting that he would try to attend the event with his country's delegation.
As a result of the discussion, the parties agreed to further promote the issues raised and to work together to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two states.
