The Ministry of Energy is implementing numerous projects aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of hydropower plants in the country.

According to the agency, as part of these efforts, the Open Joint Stock Company "Electric Stations" is preparing to carry out significant work at several key energy facilities in 2026.

In particular, the launch of the second hydro unit of the Kambarata HPP-2 is expected to begin in the spring. This stage is part of the ministry's program aimed at the phased development of the station's capacities.

Also, in the spring months, the renewal of two hydro units at the Uch-Kurgan HPP is planned. Work on hydro unit No. 2 will begin in February, and on unit No. 1 — on March 1. These reconstructions will be carried out simultaneously, ensuring a coordinated upgrade of the equipment.

At the Kambarata HPP-1, construction work and infrastructure modernization are ongoing. The finishing work is underway in the administrative and household complex, and in the new dormitory, work is being done to lay engineering communications, including sewage and water supply, as well as the installation of partitions.

At the Kurpsai HPP, work has begun on the replacement of two autotransformers (AT-1 and AT-2) as part of the modernization of the 220 kV switchgear to increase capacity. The delivery of the first autotransformer is expected in January 2026, and the second in March 2026. Installation will begin on April 1, 2026, and will be completed in the fall, significantly expanding the operational capabilities of the station.

Additionally, in 2026, a phased update of the administrative buildings of the branches of the Open Joint Stock Company "Electric Stations" is planned. ```
