President Sadyr Japarov signed a law regarding the ratification of a loan agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Saudi Fund for Development. This agreement, which pertains to the project "Construction of Public Schools (Phase II)," was signed on October 9, 2025, in Bishkek.

The law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on January 29, 2026.

The purpose of the agreement is to attract concessional financing from the Saudi Fund for Development.

The loan will be provided for 25 years with a 5-year grace period and an interest rate of 1.5% per annum, with funds disbursed in US dollars.

Under this document, financing will be provided for the "Construction of Public Schools" project, which aims to modernize educational infrastructure, eliminate the shortage of student places, and create comfortable conditions for receiving quality education.

The project involves the construction of five new general education institutions and seven additional educational buildings for existing schools in Bishkek, as well as the construction of two new schools in the Chui region with a total capacity ranging from 150 to 1000 students.
