According to recent reports, the head of the capital's department has been detained.
The press service of the GKNB published a statement denying the information about the detention of its employees.
Information was circulated on social media about the detention of several high-ranking officials of the security service, including Eldar Zhakypbekov, who holds the position of head of the capital's department.
“All employees continue to perform their duties at their workplaces. We urge everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information and to rely only on official sources,” the agency added.
