The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh met with the head of the Turkish parliament
At a joint press conference held the day before, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, announced Turkey's support for Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council. The meeting took place with the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş.
Turgunbek uulu noted that the strengthened relations between Presidents Sadyr Japarov and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan open new horizons for cooperation between the two countries. Within the framework of this interaction, numerous agreements have been signed, which now require ratification.
The Speaker also invited the Turkish delegation to attend the VI World Nomad Games.
Numan Kurtulmuş, for his part, emphasized the importance of Kyrgyzstan as a strategic partner and confirmed that Turkey would support Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for the 2027-2028 term on the UN Security Council.
