The Foreign Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Germany discussed projects in hydropower, logistics, and tourism.

On February 11, 2026, a meeting took place in Berlin between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and Dr. Johann Wadephul, the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The ministers confirmed their intention to deepen cooperation between the two countries based on the principles of mutual respect and equality. A wide range of issues related to political, trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian interaction was discussed during the meeting.

The parties noted the importance of continuing political dialogue through the organization of mutual visits. Kulubaev also shared the results of the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, conducted in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan and international standards, which contributed to transparency and public trust in the electoral process.

The Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized the successful socio-economic development of the country in recent years and called for joint actions to expand cooperation with German companies in key sectors such as hydropower, agriculture, transport, logistics, and tourism infrastructure. Additionally, both sides expressed their readiness to enhance cooperation in priority areas such as the "green" economy, e-commerce, new technologies, mobility, and education.

Issues related to the international and regional agenda, as well as cooperation within international organizations and regional associations, including the UN, OSCE, and EU, were also discussed.

In the context of the European Union's sanctions policy, Kulubaev called for a more constructive approach from European countries, noting the lack of clear grounds for imposing restrictive measures and their potential negative consequences for the socio-economic development of Central Asia. He also emphasized that Kyrgyzstan adheres to its international obligations and is open to an equal and mutually beneficial dialogue with European institutions.
