Zheenbek Kulubaev participated in a meeting with the Federal President of Germany









On February 11, 2026, a meeting took place in Berlin between Zheenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, Kulubaev conveyed greetings and good wishes from President Sadyr Japarov. He noted that the high-level visits that took place in 2023 and 2024 played a significant role in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany. In this context, the Kyrgyz side confirmed its interest in further deepening mutually beneficial relations in the areas of trade, economy, investment, and culture.

The Minister emphasized that thanks to the political will and mutual understanding among the leaders of Central Asia, significant progress has been made in strengthening cooperation and sustainable development in the region in recent years, creating favorable conditions for dialogue in the "Central Asia - Germany" format.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier, for his part, highly appreciated the stability and security in Central Asia, as well as the sustainable development of the region. He noted the significant potential in the fields of energy, trade, and transportation, expressing Germany's readiness for further cooperation with Central Asia. The President of Germany also recalled his visit to Kyrgyzstan and raised the issue of glacier melting, emphasizing the need for joint efforts by countries in the fight against climate change.
