Bakyt Tentishev, a member of parliament, raised the issue of the eviction of residents from apartments in the Military Town of Kant at a session of the Jogorku Kenesh. He reported that residents are approaching him regarding their eviction by the Ministry of Defense based on a court decision.

“Currently, four property owners have already been evicted, and a lawsuit has been filed against another twenty apartment owners. We visited this area a year ago and met with local residents. The condition of the Military Town is concerning: there are no proper roads, playgrounds, and the houses were built back in the 1960s. People need support. I understand that the Ministry of Defense is busy constructing new military towns, but it is necessary to help the residents of Kant,” he emphasized.

The deputy also noted that the main problem lies with the boiler house, the transfer of which has not been completed—it is still not on the balance sheet of either the Kant city administration or the Ministry of Defense.

In response to this proposal, the Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan, Ruslan Mukambetov, stated his readiness to transfer the boiler house to the city administration at any time. “However, it is necessary to purchase an additional boiler for the boiler house, and there are currently no funds for this. We will discuss this issue with the government,” he added.

In response to Tentishev's inquiry at the Ministry of Finance, he was informed of the readiness to allocate the necessary funds if a corresponding request is submitted. “In fact, it does not matter who will be responsible for the boiler house, as the funds are allocated from the budget. Let the government resolve this issue with its decree,” noted Bakyt Tentishev.
