Media: Israel is preparing a new offensive plan for Gaza

According to information from the Israeli publication The Times of Israel, the Israeli army has begun developing a new military plan aimed at disarming Hamas.

As reported by the publication, there is uncertainty regarding the implementation of this plan in the context of a ceasefire agreement.

Israeli authorities are increasingly concluding that disarming Hamas is impossible without the intervention of the country's armed forces.

If hostilities resume, sources say they will be more extensive than in previous instances and will not be limited by the presence of Israeli hostages in Gaza.

Israeli experts believe that without active military involvement, Hamas will be able to maintain and even increase its military potential in the region.

One senior official from Israeli security services noted that, given the low likelihood of Hamas voluntarily surrendering its weapons, the chances of a military operation beginning have increased.

Additionally, the Southern Command of the Israel Defense Forces has been actively developing various military action scenarios in Gaza in recent weeks in case a decision is made to forcibly disarm Hamas.

According to the Media Office of the Palestinian government in Gaza, in the four months following the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli forces violated it 1,620 times, resulting in the deaths of at least 573 Palestinians and injuries to 1,553 individuals.
