Veterinary services of Central Asian countries strengthen border control
An emergency meeting of the heads of veterinary services of Central Asian countries took place in Astana, where the protection against dangerous animal diseases was discussed. Kyrgyzstan was represented by the director of the relevant agency, Adilet Sotvaldiyev.

The main issue of the meeting was cross-border infections that can spread rapidly between countries. Veterinarians reached an agreement on the establishment of a unified security mechanism to prevent disease outbreaks and protect the agricultural sector.

This event was organized under the auspices of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) and became an important platform for coordinating efforts to ensure biosecurity in Central Asia.
