The Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated discussions on the implementation of English law and the establishment of an International Dispute Resolution Center (IDRC) within the Special Financial and Investment Zone of "Tamchy." This topic was addressed during a meeting between Justice Minister Ayaz Bayetov and British Ambassador Nick Boulter, as well as representatives from international financial organizations, according to information from the ministry's press service.
Delegates from the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as well as diplomats from European Union countries and the United States attended the meeting. Participants discussed specific steps necessary for the opening of the IDRC, which will comply with international standards for resolving commercial disputes.
The project to create an independent arbitration center in "Tamchy" aims to protect investors' rights and enhance trust in the country's legal system. Representatives of international organizations emphasized that the presence of such an authoritative dispute resolution mechanism will help ensure predictability in judicial practice and will be an important factor in attracting investments to the private sector.
As a result of the discussions, all participants expressed a desire to work together for the successful implementation of this initiative, which will contribute to strengthening Kyrgyzstan's investment potential.
