Kyrgyzstan Considers Establishing an International Dispute Resolution Center for the Special Zone "Tamchy"

- Consultations were held at the Ministry of Justice regarding the operation of the Special Financial Investment Territory "Tamchy," with the participation of the Embassies of the United Kingdom and other countries, as well as leaders of international financial institutions.

The main topics of discussion were the development of English law and the initiative to establish an International Dispute Resolution Centre within the SFIT "Tamchy."

At the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Justice Ayaz Bayetov and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kyrgyzstan, Nick Bowler, attention was drawn to the establishment of a International Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC) in the special zone.

It is planned that this center will operate based on the principles of English law and will comply with international standards for resolving commercial disputes.

Additionally, representatives from the European Union, the U.S. Embassy, and diplomats from several other countries participated in the consultations.

Meeting participants noted the importance of increasing trust among both domestic and foreign investors, as well as strengthening mechanisms for protecting their rights.

Representatives of international financial organizations emphasized that the establishment of the IDRC in "Tamchy" would be a significant step towards enhancing predictability in judicial and arbitration practices and providing additional guarantees for participants in investment and commercial projects.
