According to information from the president's office, Ermek Omuraliev has been appointed as the ambassador to Italy. He will also serve as the permanent representative of Kyrgyzstan to organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Food Programme, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
Previously, this position was held by Talai Bazarbaev.
Ermek Omuraliev is an experienced diplomat who has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since the mid-1990s. He has held various positions in the central apparatus of the Ministry and in foreign diplomatic missions, including heading the Department of Economic Diplomacy, overseeing investment attraction, export development, and tourism, as well as working in the field of civil aviation.
