The detention of beggars among the citizens of Kyrgyzstan will also become a practice


At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on law and order, combating crime, and countering corruption, the draft law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts (to the Code of Offenses and the Law on External Migration)" was discussed and adopted in the first reading.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated this draft law, which includes several amendments aimed at reducing instances of begging in the country.

In particular, it is proposed to expel foreign citizens engaged in begging or involving others in this activity from the republic.

As for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, it is proposed to detain them for similar actions related to begging.
