At a meeting dedicated to security issues, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, summarized the results of the fight against crime. He reported that over 300 members of organized crime groups have been brought to criminal responsibility, and more than 38 billion soms have been returned to the country's budget as compensation for damages incurred.
“We have not only destroyed criminal structures but also dismantled their influence, which had persisted for decades. We have managed to restore the rule of law in the state,” he emphasized.
In his report, the president highlighted technological changes in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He noted that thanks to the implementation of digital technologies and the expansion of a 24/7 surveillance network, the crime situation in the country has significantly improved.
“According to statistical data, the overall crime rate has decreased by 73%, and the number of serious crimes in areas covered by cameras has reduced by 68%. These measures are aimed at ensuring safety on the streets and peace in families,” the president added.
