According to him, the issue of the debt is being studied by the relevant authorities and specialists.
Akayev also emphasized that his team intends to complete the projects that have already been initiated in Osh.
“A number of significant projects are being implemented in our city, such as the construction of an overpass bridge. It cannot be claimed that all previously initiated projects were failures. All positive initiatives of former mayors must be brought to completion. We will seek support from the republican budget and the Stabilization Fund. We are negotiating with the Prime Minister and the President to complete the ongoing work,” he noted.
In addition, Janar Akayev added: “If we start discussing who did what and how much debt has accumulated, we will simply waste time. We need to continue working. In the coming days, we will gather entrepreneurs. Next week, a meeting of the city council will take place. This year, the budget of Osh will amount to 5.2 billion soms, which is 1.8 billion more compared to last year.”
It is worth noting that the decision of the former mayor to renovate the municipal building is actively discussed on social media.
