China calls for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East

The issue of the aggressive actions of the United States and Israel against Iran became a key topic at a press conference held on March 8 in Beijing. The event was attended by Wang Yi, the Foreign Minister of China and a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee.

He emphasized that China maintains an objective position and strongly calls for an immediate ceasefire, reminding that the use of force to resolve the conflict is unacceptable.

“The use of weapons is evil, and it should be approached with great caution. This war should never have started, and it will benefit no one,” Wang Yi noted.

The minister also outlined five key principles for the peaceful resolution of the conflict, among which the main one is respect for the territorial integrity of the countries in the Persian Gulf. He also warned against the interference of external forces in the affairs of the region.

“Attempts at provocation and regime change will not be supported by the people,” the minister concluded.
